A Message from Our Principal

Welcome to Northwest Area Senior High/Middle School, home of the Rangers. We are proud of the educational atmosphere we provide to our students with a rigorous academic program and a wide variety of educational electives. We take pride in our academic and extra-curricular programs provided for the students of Northwest. Our goal is to help students find the direction they would like to go after they leave high school. We hope to provide them a variety of opportunities that will allow them to explore various options as they begin to plan for life after high school. We also hope to foster an environment of caring for one another through respect for fellow students, staff, faculty, and administration.

With Ranger Pride,
Ryan Miner

Dual Enrollment Classes

Select seniors may enroll in a local college while still attending Northwest Area High School. They may take a maximum of two college courses per semester at a heavily discounted rate (and must attend college both semesters). This program allows students to fulfill both their high school graduation requirements and receive college credit.

ALMA MATER

Of all the schools in all the world,
we honor Northwest High.
It is our Alma Mater,
for young and old a precious tie,
For hopes to come and joys that have been,
how high her colors fly.
We stand together—hands on hearts—
God bless you, Northwest High.
Dear Northwest High, there’ll always be
a place within our hearts,
A place of loving mem’ries—
of all the things you’ve had a part,
For lessons done, for battles we’ve won,
beneath your gold and blue,
Our Alma Mater evermore—
our praise we sing to you.
